Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Plantcare for using our apps and website. We've kept them as readable as we can - but they are the binding version, so please give them a moment.

01Acceptance

By downloading, accessing or using Plantcare, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. If you're using Plantcare on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to accept these terms for it.

02Your account

You can start using Plantcare without an account, but some features - like syncing and shared gardens - require one. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

03Acceptable use

We ask that you use Plantcare kindly and lawfully. You agree not to:

  • Break the law, or use the app to harm, harass or impersonate others.
  • Upload content you don't have the right to share, or that's abusive or unlawful.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape or overload the service.
  • Resell or commercially exploit the app without our written permission.

04Your content

Your plants, photos and notes are yours. You keep all ownership of the content you add.

To run the service, you grant us a limited licence to store, display and process that content - for example, to sync it to your devices, show it to people you've invited to a shared garden, or process a photo to identify a plant. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

05Shared gardens

When you create or join a shared garden, you're choosing to make certain content visible to other members. Invite only people you trust, and share only what you're comfortable others seeing. You're responsible for the invitations you send and the members you add.

06Care guidance

Please note

Plant identification and care advice are provided for general guidance only. They can be wrong.

Always use your own judgement, especially regarding toxicityaround children and pets. We don't guarantee that any identification is accurate or that following our guidance will keep a plant alive. When in doubt, consult a professional.

07Subscriptions

Plantcare is free to download with core features included. Optional paid plans unlock extras and are billed through the App Store or Google Play.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You manage and cancel billing in your App Store or Google Play account.
  • Refunds are handled under the policies of the store you purchased through.

08Our rights

Plantcare, its name, logo, design, software and content (other than your content) belong to us and are protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. Nothing here transfers ownership of our brand or technology to you.

09Liability

Plantcare is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or - to be plain about it - a plant that doesn't make it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

10Termination

You can stop using Plantcare and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached. Sections that by their nature should survive - such as content licences already granted, our rights, and liability - continue after termination.

11Changes & governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes we'll notify you in the app before they take effect; continued use afterwards means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of France, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
